Some 1984-1986 Ford & Mercury vehicles are equipped with either Heavy Duty or Light/Medium Duty Driveaxles.  See the drawingsw below to identify the type and choose the correct boot kits.  Vehicles with Heavy Duty axles have a 3 1/2" bell diameter.   Vehicles with Light/Medium Duty axles have a 3 1/4" bell diameter as shown below.
